Augustine Richard Kakeeto
Bio
Richard Kakeeto holds a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University Kampala and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The Law Development Centre Kampala. He has received training in Basic Information on HIV and Aids, Pastoral issues of Stigma, Protection and Care and holds a Certificate in Peace Building and Reconciliation from Africa Peace Point, Shalom House, Nairobi.
He has worked with the secretariat of the Working committee on the National Symposium on Post election peace building for Kenya held at Catholic University of Eastern Africa 29th -31st May. He has lectured in Labour Law, for students of the Advanced Certificate in Leadership and Church Management at the Department of Social Justice and Ethics of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. He has been to date a Youth trainer in Social Analysis skills, (a weekly programmer for the youth of St. Vincent De Paul society Kibera - Olympic Nairobi Kenya. He was a research assistant at Jesuit Hakimani Peace Centre. Shalom House, Nairobi in which he prepared case studies in catholic social teaching for publication of a Manual for social analysis, catholic social teaching and social justice titled Faith Doing Justice by E.O. Opongo SJ and A.E. Orobator SJ. Publications - "The Relationship between Justice and Peace; An inquiry into the LRA conflict in Northern Uganda". Co- authored and co- presented by Ann Rita Njageh at the 2nd CUEA annual Philosophy conference 15th-16th November 2007. - "In Privacy Lies Violence: an Analysis of the Influence of Western Arbotion Laws on Kenya" in The Lawyer Magazine June- July 2006. - "The Law relating to removal of Local Government leaders from office", LL.B Dissertation, Faculty of Law Makerere University Kampala May 2001.
