Rochman Achwan
Bio
Rochman Achwan is senior lecturer at the Department of Sociology and research associate at Centre for Research on Inter-Group Relations and Conflict Resolution (CERIC) University of Indonesia. He was Indonesian team leader of international research on The Making of Civil Society in Indonesia in 2001-2005.
He co-authored Overcoming Conflict, Jakarta: UNDP (2005) and reads papers at the 8th ASEAN Inter-University Conference (IUC) on Social Development in Philippines (2008), Gross National Happiness in Thailand (2007) and Political Violence in Southeast Asia in Indonesia (2005). He holds a Ph.D in Sociology from University of Bielefeld, Germany.
