Tobias Denskus

Bio

Tobias Denskus refuses to be labelled an ‘expert' on Nepal just because he spent part of his PhD research inside the international peacebuilding community in Kathmandu; neither is he an expert on German peace discourses although he immersed himself in the policy and academic communities, attending workshops and reading newsletters. He is merely an ethnographic observer who is puzzled by aid relationships and the lack of critical self-reflection that seems to come with ‘proper' academic research, managerial organisational cultures and depolitizised projects.
